Adidas – Adi Paint

The Corner in London looked to friends across the pond to bring this spot in to the world. Director Mark Zibert lent his brilliant eye and astonishing sense of tone to the project. Posterboy’s Mark Paiva nuanced details and subtlety while creating the build that makes up this ninety second spot.

For all the paint that was on set, there was even more in post. theVanity obsessed over details and edging through rotoscoping and paint to make everything look and feel as it should. Along with cleanup, theVanity seamlessly extended sets to give the spot the grandeur the director had in mind.

This spot celebrates the arrival of the 2013/14 Chelsea F.C. kit. Adidas and the Chelsea Football Club are challenging the true Chelsea supporters to buy the new home shirt sight unseen. The tagline “it’s blue. what else matters?” speaks volumes to dedication of football fans to their clubs.

In case you can’t recognize them behind the 3,000 litres of blue paint, the spot features Chelsea FC stars John Terry, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata.
